Data Deletion
Your data is yours to remove. Here is how, for each situation, and how to check on a request once it is in.
Disconnect Instagram
Either of these works, and you do not need to do both.
- In les Archives. Open Settings, find the Instagram connection, and choose Disconnect. We delete the access token and account details we hold for that connection right away.
- In Instagram. Go to your Instagram account settings, find Apps and Websites (or Website permissions), and remove les Archives. Instagram then notifies our deauthorize endpoint and we delete the access token and account details we hold for that Instagram account automatically.
If you also want the record of posts we published for you removed, use the "Delete your Instagram data" path below or email us.
Delete your Instagram data
When you remove les Archives from your Instagram account settings and choose to delete your data, Instagram sends a data deletion request to our endpoint. We then delete the access token, the stored Instagram user ID, username, and account type, and the log of posts we published for that account. Instagram shows you a confirmation code and a link back to this page. Enter the code below to see the status of that request.
Disconnect Pinterest
Open Settings in les Archives, find the Pinterest connection, and choose Disconnect. We delete the access and refresh tokens we hold. You can also revoke access from Pinterest under Settings, then Security, then Connected apps. If you want the log of pins we published removed too, email us.
Delete photographs or catalog content
Delete images and projects directly in the app. The files are removed from storage, and a scheduled cleanup removes any files no longer referenced by your catalog. Images you had scheduled for Instagram or Pinterest, or marked "on the record" for editors, are removed from their public links at the same time.
Close your account and delete everything
Email hi@lesarchives.app from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my les Archives account." We will confirm it is you, then delete your account, your workspaces (if you are the owner), your photographs and catalog, your connected-account tokens, and your logs within 30 days. We will email you when it is done. Copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time afterward until the backups roll off.
If you are a team member rather than a workspace owner, we remove you from the workspace and delete your account; the owner's content stays with the owner. If your client or a publication editor asks us to delete data that you entered about them, we will work with you to honor it.
Request a copy of your data
Same address, subject "Export my les Archives data." We will send you your catalog metadata as a file and a way to download your images.
For Meta and Pinterest reviewers
The endpoints are: deauthorize callback at https://policies.lesarchives.app/api/meta/deauthorize, data deletion callback at https://policies.lesarchives.app/api/meta/data-deletion, and this page as the data deletion instructions URL. Both callbacks verify the signed_request signature against the app secret before acting. See Platform Compliance.
